IIT Roorkee Placement Procedure
The IIT Roorkee Placements take place in three phases, each involving several procedures. In the first phase the institute sends an invitation along with information and job annexure, to the organizations via email/post. The invitee company has to fill in the annexure and mail it back to the Training and Placement Cell, at IIT Roorkee. Subsequent to discussions between Training and Placement Cell and the company appropriate dates for Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) are decided.
In the second phase the company may confirm or negotiate the PPT dates with the placement cell at IIT Roorkee. Resumes of students are made available to the companies for short listing for the campus placement.
In the third phase on a given date companies visit the campus for the placements. A written test, aptitude test, followed by group discussion and personal interview is conducted as a part of selection procedure by companies.
