IIM Indore Placement Procedure:
The placement cell of IIM is active throughout the year. From creating the brochure to facilitating summer placements as well as final employment of a student, this cell has a strong presence. IIM arranges for summer internship for students through out a week. It also organizes pre placement talks apart from facilitating lateral placements and final placements.
Placement Record of IIM Indore:
Indian Institute of Management Indore attracts recruiters from other parts of India as well as abroad. While 295 offers poured in two years ago, 367 offers were given during final placement at IIM Indore in 2008 with an average salary of Rs 13.07 lac per annum for the offers accepted. Even the highest domestic salary was upped to Rs 26 lac from Rs 12.5 lac in 2006. During lateral placement for the same year, the highest offer was Rs 26 lacs for the profile of an associate with a Global Investment Bank. The students also managed to bag 9 international offers with the highest salary of USD 85000.

Some of the well-known recruiters who absorb students from IIM Indore are PricewaterhouseCoopers, American Express, Deutsche Bank, Deloitte, Hewitt Associates, Goldman Sachs, i-Flex Solutions and SEBI. Accenture Business Consulting, Larsen & Toubro, Oracle, Unilever, Air India, Reuters, Tata Motors and Headstrong India have also recruited pass-outs of IIM Indore. In 2008, IIM Indore also witnessed participation of some new companies in its placement procedure such as Barclays Bank Plc, Arthur D. Little, Tesco Plc, OCBC Bank Singapore and Americorp Capital.
IIM Indore Placement Trends:
During IIM Indore Placements 2008, half of the students were mostly absorbed in Banking and Financial Services for openings in Private Equity, Investment Banking, Asset Management and Treasury. Following were recruitments in Marketing sector and Consulting firms. Students were also hired for profiles in General Management as well as Information Technology. Recruitment was also made in sectors like Real Estate, New Retail and Media. There were also students who turned down job offers to begin business initiatives on their own.
